Project Aims

Social Change Aims
  • To provide community leaders with an opportunity to listen to our stories about our experience – both positive and negative – about living in Blind River and area:
  • What do we identify as our communities’ strengths and weaknesses?
  • What do we think needs to be done to improve our opportunities?
  • What barriers do we face to achieving our full potential, and how can these barriers be removed?
  • To make decisions as a collective about how the wider community can best meet our needs
  • To creatively communicate our concerns and ideas to community leaders and politicians using photography and narratives
Arts Project Aims
  • To organize and lead a photography project & exhibit our work in Blind River and Toronto
  • To identify whether there is a need for after-school arts programming in Blind River and what that might look like
  • To communicate these ideas to community leaders and politicians who make decisions that affect us
  • To use this feedback to create youth-directed arts programming that directly responds to our needs
