Social Change Aims

To provide community leaders with an opportunity to listen to our stories about our experience – both positive and negative – about living in Blind River and area:
What do we identify as our communities’ strengths and weaknesses?
What do we think needs to be done to improve our opportunities?
What barriers do we face to achieving our full potential, and how can these barriers be removed?
To make decisions as a collective about how the wider community can best meet our needs
To creatively communicate our concerns and ideas to community leaders and politicians using photography and narratives

Arts Project Aims

To organize and lead a photography project & exhibit our work in Blind River and Toronto
To identify whether there is a need for after-school arts programming in Blind River and what that might look like
To communicate these ideas to community leaders and politicians who make decisions that affect us
To use this feedback to create youth-directed arts programming that directly responds to our needs
